The Old Wordsworthians' Association

The objectives of the OWA are:

  1. To provide support to the school and its students through a contribution programme. In recent years contributions have taken the form of• school prizes for outstanding students
    • equipment and facilities for individual faculties
    • donations of books and access to county library loan services
    • grant towards the cost of travel and refreshments for visit to Oxford University’s annual open day for selected sixth formers
    • grant towards furniture for individual faculties and school common rooms such as the chapel.Decisions on contributions are made at the request/ on the advice of the headmaster and faculty heads.
  2. To provide through a website and newsletter, news of members and information about the school and events open to members such as Founder’s Day, annual prizegiving and carol service.

Membership is open to all former students. The membership fee, currently set at £15.00 per annum, is used to cover administration costs and the contribution programme.
